Design
Low voltage system power supplies for the TRC-170 Tropo-scatter communication system. Goodyear Electronics designed and submitted prototype system
DC supplies that could be cooled without drawing air through the power supply to both the Marine Corps depot at Albany and the Army depot at Tobyhanna. While both depots were very pleased with the prototypes, the program manager was unable to purchase production units due to budgetary constraints.
ARES Patriot Radar portable element screener
Goodyear Electronics designed the electronics for the ARES Patriot Radar element screener, which is currently being assembled by FMA Redstone Arsenal. The screener enables elements to be screened onsite for proper functionality so that only failing units will be sent to the depot for reset, resulting in a significant savings in both replacement costs and man-hours for the Army.

Obsolescence Mitigation
Due to the extended life cycle of Military systems and equipment, obsolescence of all types of electronic components is a serious issue. Obsolescence mitigation ranges from finding substitutes for obsolete components to redesign of circuits, circuit cards, or subassemblies.
Designed a replacement for the obsolete smart battery in the AN/GRM-122
Designed a daughter card for the TS-4317 90 MHz Generator subassembly that makes older version assemblies compatible with all test sets.
